- National BESS Market & Value Stack Leadership: Identifying profitable C&I BESS markets, building market-level value stack models, and guiding geographic expansion and prioritization.
- BESS Project Underwriting & Economics: Helping to prepare customer-facing economic presentations and building project financial models including Solar + BESS, demand-charge shaving, wholesale arbitrage, capacity payments, utility demand-response programs, and NWA programs
- Engineering Alignment & System Architecture: Determining battery size, duration, C-rate, coupling strategy, and warranty structure, building standardized system templates for C&I rooftop, ground mount, and FOM projects, and working with internal engineers to finalize design packages.
- Interconnection & Utility Strategy: Managing utility interactions and interconnection applications, and optimizing grid export rules, NEM rules, and tariff structures.
- EPC Support: Providing support on cost estimates, project timelines, and BOM decisions, and generally reducing the cost of installation through standardized deployment.
- Asset Ownership, Financing & ITC Guidance: Supporting tax equity, direct pay, and ITC basis allocation and modeling long-term cash flows, degradation, O&M, and warranty reserves.
- Management & Leadership: Providing training internal sales emloyees on BESS selling points, building and managing a future team of BESS analysts, engineers, and developers, and creating internal documentation, playbooks, and training materials.
