Job Overview
Our client, a high-growth, national solar company specializing in community solar projects, is looking to bring on a Sales Manager to lead a new market across the Chicago area. This hire will be key members of the company's sales division and will play a pivotal role in its continued and rapid growth. This Sales Manager role is a full-time, permanent position with our client.
Job Responsibilities
- Leading from the front - Recruiting, training, and leading and team of field sales representatives.
- Engaging with the community - Educating customers on the benefits of community solar programs
- Conducting consultations - Travelling across the service area to meet with owners and small business and conducting consultative meetings regarding solar programs and services
- Developing your team - Conducting in-office and field training as well as providing leadership development opportunities team members to enhance their product knowledge, sales skills, and leadership abilities.
- Driving performance - Setting clear goals, monitoring and analyzing sales metrics, and holding your team accountable to performance KPIs in order to ensure consistent growth in across the market.
- Maintaining vendor relationships - Overseeing sales vendors in the region and providing support as needed
Successful Candidates Must Have:
- Outside sales experience with a track record of success
- Strong leadership skills and an ability to motivate
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer service and relationship building skills
- A valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Energy sales and knowledge of solar, renewable energy, and/or community solar programs is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required
Compensation & Benefits
- This Solar Manager role has a wage of: $40,000 to $50,000 per Year Salary, Plus Uncapped Commission & Bonuses - $150,000+ On-Target Earnings
