Job Overview
Our client, one of the top 5 fastest-growing commercial solar companies in the nation, is looking to bring on a Construction Manager to support a large volume of commercial solar projects across the Northeast US. This is a full-time, permanent role with our client.
Job Responsibilities
- Travelling to project sites across the Northeast US region
- Working with structural engineers to inspect and verify roof conditions via site assessment
- Reviewing engineering plan sets to verify array layout and map obstructions
- Coordinating material logistics and creating, tracking, and managing Bill of Material (BOM) items
- Overseeing foremen and on-site construction activities across multiple regional job sites while ensuring and enforcing all safety protocols
- Ensuring all racking and electrical components are installed is properly and according to engineering plans
- Coordinating with the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) for inspections and the utility for the final Permission to Operate (PTO) approvals
- Creating the "As-Built" documentation for future operations & maintenance work
Successful Candidates Must Have:
- At least 5 years of commercial solar experience; experience with rooftop projects over 1MW is a plus
- At least 2 years of construction management experience, running multiple commercial solar rooftop projects simultaneously.
- An electrical background; a degree/certification from a trade school and/or an electrical license is a plus
- Willingness to travel 100% of the time
- Communication, collaboration, and detail-orientation skills
